The Associate Director of Agriculture shall be responsible for ensuring that comprehensive health analysis and health risk assessments of agricultural chemicals on humans, domestic animals, and pollinators are reviewed and reported to the legislature. The Associate Director of Agriculture shall suspend the registration of all branches of the nitrogroup of neonicotinoids and regulate agricultural chemicals as necessary to protect Arizona’s agriculture and the health of its citizens. If you have not heard there is 155 acre Monsanto facility going in Arizona. Monsanto is petitioning our Federal Government for a “Foreign Trade Zone” status. The petition if endorsed by the (5 member) Pima County Board of Supervisors. Monsanto will get huge tax breaks in exchange for an upfront tax of only $500,000, this money will ear-marked for a the local school system.
